अरुणं करुणातरङ्गिताक्षीं धृतपाशाङ्कुशपुष्पबाणचापान् ।
अनिमादिभिरावृतां मयूखैहमित्येव विभवये भवानीम् ॥

प्रभाकालीन सूर्य के समान लाल और कांतिवान वर्ण वाली, जिनकी नेत्रों से भक्तों के लिए करुणा की लहरें उमड़ती रहती हैं, जो अपने हाथों में पाश, अंकुश, पुष्पबाण और गन्ने का धनुष धारण किए हुए हैं, तथा जो अणिमा आदि अष्ट सिद्धियों और अपनी दिव्य किरणों से आवृत्त (घिरी) हैं—ऐसी भगवती भवानी का मैं अपने भीतर ध्यान करता हूँ।
